We are proud to announce the rest of the cast members in Clandestine that will be bringing this story to life.

Lex writes, “I hail from a speck of dirt in the middle of Ohio. I’d name it, but you wouldn’t know it. Needless to say, things weren’t exciting there. I had a lot of free time and an over-active imagination. At that age, I wasn’t even sure what to do with it, but I kept it busy with comic books, cartoons and X-men action figures.
Things changed soon after I got to college and it was decision time. I decided to be a writer, and I guess I was too stubborn to change my mind. It wasn’t long after that I met Chris Cowan. An aspiring writer + an ambitious filmmaker = instant collaborators and friends. I studied the craft, I practiced and experimented on academic and personal projects, Years later, here we are.
Coming into Thousand Pounds was a reunion with Chris and an introduction to the rest of this great team. The most amazing part? All of these crazy ideas I was coming up with finally had people who could bring them to life. Being a hardcore geek at heart, nothing makes me more excited than action and drama and super powers. Don’t let any of the muscles or martial arts fool you; these folks are pretty much all geeks too. The only thing better than creating is having people to share that excitement, passion and drive to move the creation into new territory. To date, I’ve been happy to be one of many creative voice on Thousand Pounds. I was a creative collaborator on Street Fighter x Tekken: The Devil Within, and, of course, I’m a co-creator and writer on Clandestine. There’s some other great stuff begging to be mentioned, but I’ll have to keep them secret for now.

A founding member of Thousand Pounds, Vonzell Carter has lived a life largely designed by achievement. Vonzell has the education, accolades and body of work to validate his strength and versatility in the performance arena, including a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from CalArts. This same confidence and dedication is evident in his martial arts training: Yang style Taijiquan, Shotokan Karate, Gun Fu, and Kali, combined with the intense physical training in his acting program. Vonzell was most recently seen in the play Eternal Thou (Backstage West Critic’s Pick) at Atwater Village Theater. An excerpt from the Backstage review: “Carter is mesmerizing. His every movement is riveting”.

Gui DaSilva was born in 1990, raised in New York City by his mother, a former professional dancer. At the age of two he was found, by his father, imitating the figure on top of an old Martial arts trophy, which decided his future of becoming a martial artist and started training him. Gui obtained his black belt in Tae kwon do at the age of 14 and continued on to his goal of being in the Olympics. In 2007 he got injured during a sparring practice while training for the 2008 Olympics. He then discovered martial arts tricking and followed his mother’s career as a professional dancer. He moved to Los Angeles in hopes of being a successful actor and stuntman who inspires all people.

In the eyes of many of the crew at Thousand Pounds, Mickey Facchinello is still very, very young… which make her accomplishments, thus far, even more impressive. Mickey is a world champion, holding black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Shorei-ryu Karate – well complimented by her additional skills in martial arts style tricking and extreme martial arts. She also has extensive training in screen fighting, contemporary and hip-hop dance, wushu, parkour/freerunning and aerial silks. All of these amazing talents have been tried and proven when Mickey performed in Tropicana Hotel Las Vegas’ headlining martial arts live show Sideswip LIVE! alongside an otherwise all-male cast. Thousand Pounds has been lucky enough to recreuit this powder keg of talent and energy just in time to watch her explode onto the scenes of Hollywood action stunts and performance.
